Turkey has hosted many civilizations for centuries due to its strategic and geographic location. Naturally, we see the reflections of this cultural harmony in Turkish cuisine. Within today's borders, Turkey consists of 7 regions. The Black Sea Region in the north, the Eastern Anatolia Region and Southeastern Anatolia Region in the east, the Marmara and Aegean Region in the west, the Mediterranean Region in the south and the Central Anatolia Region in the middle. Each region has different eating habits due to its own cultural values. In this context, it would not be a lie to say that the main reason for the variety of food in the southeast region is the dominant influence of Mesopotamian culture in the region. That is why Gaziantep has been chosen as a world gastronomy city. Special gastronomy tours are organized.
